I did see the special form but nyeh, didn't feel like filling it out.

I don't need the latest and greatest when it comes to tech stuff. I usually hold onto something until it dies OR it becomes so inconvenient or costs me time that I have to upgrade.

Ringtones drive me nuts. I have mine set on soft-ring so it just rings as closely to a "real" phone as possible. I can kinda see how programming the theme for the movie "Jaws" as the ringtone for your wife, and the Darth Vader theme for your boss may come in handy but overall, it's good for the one yuk.

Actualy, the best place to ask a question is the question link on top! There is a special form just for asking questions :)

Regardless I will add your question to the list.

I think the Borg comment still holds true. My wife just got a new cell phone last night (she does not feel the same way about phones as I do) and instantly lamented that the cheap phone she got would not allow her to download (pay for) ringtones. I then asked her if I could call her "seven of nine" if she got one of the BT earsets. She glared at me and the discussion ended.

I'm not a parent, but this site is a fun read. I dislike holding onto my phone and have headsets for both my cordless at home (REALLY comes in handy for conference calls and doing "tech support" with parents) and a Bluetooth for my cell. I see so many people using the BT headsets (you see them all the time in airports for the biz travelers) that the "you look like a Borg" comment is fading.

I do have a question for Dad - when do you give your kid a cell phone? I'm always hearing radio commercials about family phone plans where parents complain that teenagers talk on the cell so much that they get huge bills. I read something somewhere about a parent rewarding their kid with phone minutes (the plan had some way to transfer minutes to a phone I guess). So if the kid does all his chores, minutes. Good grades, minutes. The kid wants more minutes so he offers to some task.

Figure this post is a good a place to ask dad this question!

I thank you for the compliment! I guess I should add an RSS button somewhere. I use Firefox and the RSS button always shows up in the URL bar.

There is a link to the article and comment feeds on the right in the meta section.

I sent an email with a question. Your site is great! As a matter of fact, I think I'll make it my blog of the day on Wednesday! You need to add a subscribe button;)
